JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a professional and highly organized Dispatcher to join our team. This key role involves scheduling equipment and drivers, servicing customer accounts, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment to customer job sites.
- Service customer accounts, including creating new accounts and entering rental agreements.
- Verify customer insurance compliance and ensure all required documentation is on file.
- Work closely with customers to confirm order details, delivery times, and special requirements.
- Monitor and coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, and exchanges.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activity and job tickets.
- Collaborate with the sales and service departments to meet customer needs.
- Resolve customer concerns and scheduling issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety policies.
- Utilize dispatch software and GPS systems to track and optimize fleet activity.
Qualifications:
- Prior dispatch experience in the equipment rental, logistics, or construction industry is required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch/rental software.
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree a plus.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and basic rental contracts is a strong advantage.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
