Role Description The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Clifton Heights, PA. This role oversees the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling and coordinating service work, managing technicians, and ensuring timely completion of equipment repairs and maintenance. The Service Manager monitors work quality, maintains service records, and collaborates with parts, sales, and rental teams to support customer needs and minimize equipment downtime. Responsibilities include communicating with customers regarding service status and technical issues, preparing estimates, and resolving service-related concerns. The role also involves implementing safety practices, optimizing workflows, and contributing to continuous improvement of service processes and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in equipment service management, preferably in heavy construction or foundation machinery.
- Strong skills in scheduling, coordinating service activities, and managing service teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and service manuals, and to oversee complex mechanical and hydraulic repairs.
- Effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients, technicians, and internal departments.
- Proficiency with service management software, record-keeping, and basic office applications.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to relevant regulations and company policies.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy, follow-through, and meeting deadlines.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience and familiarity with performance coaching and training.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in heavy equipment, mechanical, or related fields is beneficial.
- Experience in the foundation construction industry or related sectors is an asset.
