Specials Teacher Job Description
Equip Academy of New Mexico seeks a mission-aligned, passionate Music, Dance, Art Teachers to join our founding team on a part-time contracted basis. This individual will design and lead high-energy, engaging Music, Dance, Art instruction for students, fostering joy, creativity, and confidence in alignment with our school's values.

Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging weekly Music, Dance, Art classes for K–1 students (with the potential to grow).
- Incorporate various Music, Dance, Art genres, cultural forms, and techniques to expose students to diverse movement experiences.
- Support physical, social, and emotional development through structured creative expression.
- Collaborate with staff and leadership to align with school values and culture.
- Optionally assist with or choreograph routines for school events or performances.
Qualifications
- Equip Academy Mission and Vision alignment
- Passionate about Music, Dance, Art and working with young children
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must hold a valid New Mexico substitute teacher or educational assistant license (or willingness to obtain—Equip Academy will support in acquiring licensure)
- Prior experience teaching or working with children preferred
- Flexible, collaborative, and enthusiastic mindset
- Background check clearance required
Competitive Compensation
This is a contracted, hourly position. Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience.
