Position Objectives

Jr. IT Specialist is under the direct supervision and direction of the IT Supervisor. This position is responsible of, but not limited to, assisting with daily operations of the Information Technology Department

Key Performance Objectives

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Provide first and second -level support to users, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems and equipment.
• Assist with network administration tasks, including monitoring network performance and resolving connectivity issues.
• Program two-way radios and troubleshoot radio communication issues
• Support the implementation of IT policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.
• Provide on-call support as part of the IT team's rotation schedule.
• Assist with maintenance activities as assigned and as needed
• Other relevant duties as assigned
  
  

Mininum Education Or Substituted Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Associates degree in information technology, computer science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in IT Support, tech support or networking (minimum 1 year)
• Proven experience with Active directory, of 1 year or more is highly desired
  
  

Skills

• Sound knowledge of TCP/IP and basic networking principles.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft product suite, including but not limited to: Active Directory (and/or LDAP), Email, SharePoint, Windows 10/11, Office 365
• Racking/cabling of servers and network equipment experience an asset
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Relevant IT certifications a plus (e.g.,CompTIA A , Network )
  
  

The hourly pay range for this position is $22.66. - $29.00, based on experience.
