Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Legal Assistant
Starting Compensation: $20-$22/hour
Hours: 8–12 hours per week, flexible, 1 or 2 days (likely to increase in the future, if desired).
Location: 90% in person (Near Union and Montebello)
Starting Date: As soon as possible.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to support the smooth operation of our estate planning law firm. This part-time, flexible role ideal for someone who is dependable, self-driven, and enjoys a variety of task. Ideal candidates should demonstrate the ability to follow directions, excellent communication skills, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. Legal experience is in no way required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clerical Support
a. Assemble client binders & complete quality-control checklists.
b. Scan, file, organize physical documents, update digital records.
c. Notarize (not required) or witness documents from time to time.
d. Shred paper, prep desks for meetings, other light administrative duties.
2. Client Communication and Follow Up
a. Communicate with clients regarding scheduling, general inquiries, and follow‑up needs. You will NOT be expected to answer incoming calls throughout the week or manage phone lines. Instead you will be returning calls or proactively making calls as needed. If you happen to be in the office when the phone rings, you may be asked to answer and direct the call appropriately.
3. Event Planning Support & Coordination
a. Coordinate and organize the details of educational events and seminars.
b. Assist with planning and promoting a client‑appreciation, community outreach, or others events.
4. Content Creation
a. Write blogs, social media posts, and website pages.
b. Help brainstorm and execute marketing ideas.
5. Networking
a. Occasionally attend networking meetings or events. Deliver a prepared 45-60 second “pitch presentation”. We will assist you on this.
6. Other potential opportunities/roles (after initial training period, role may increase – starting with the following)
a. Assist with CRM updates, marketing funnels and campaigns, and overall workflow improvements.
b. Order office supplies and client appreciation gifts.
c. Help create basic, first drafts of legal documents.
d. Run or help run non-attorney meetings.
e. Conduct preliminary legal research.
f. Help write content for newsletters, informational emails, and more

This is currently a part-time supplemental-income role. While we anticipate plenty of ongoing work, hours may vary slightly week to week. This role may expand quite a bit in the future, depending on your desires and our workload.
