Equine Sports Medicine - Clinic Division | Pilot Point, TX
Equine Sports Medicine is excited to be expanding our elite team dedicated to treating the performance horse. This is a hands-on role for a skilled, proactive horseperson passionate about advanced sports medicine.
In This Role, You Will:
- Be a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician joining our growing team
- Be proficient in equine care, knowledge of Veterinary Technology, and have strong organizational skills
- Work hands-on with horses in a hospital and ambulatory setting
- Be directly involved in patient care, assist with advanced diagnostics and treatments, and contribute to a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Assist veterinarian with appointments, procedures, and treatments
- Safely handle and restrain horses of varying ages and temperaments
- Maintain accurate medical records and support effective client communication
- Ensure proper cleaning, biosecurity, and restocking of equipment and supplies
You Will Thrive Here If You:
- Can safely restrain horses for examinations and procedures while maintaining safety for the veterinarian, staff, and patient. (Required)
- Assist veterinarians with lameness exams, performance evaluations, and pre-purchase exams.
- Jog and longe horses as needed for performance and lameness evaluations.
- Assist with taking radiographs.
- Perform sterile scrubbing and preparation for injections and other procedures.
- Can lift/ move up to 50lbs and work on your feet outside for most of the day.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic, initiative, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude

The Details:
- $15.00/hr. overtime, with eligibility for annual raises and performance-based bonuses

- Based out of our Pilot Point, North Texas facility

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week. Rotating weekends, flexibility is important
