We are seeking a Subcontract Administrator to support the SOF GLSS (Special Operations Forces β Global Logistics Sustainment Services) contract in Lexington, KY. This program provides critical logistics and sustainment support across multiple platforms and directly impacts the warfighter through a global supply base.
This role requires onsite training initially. Remote work may be considered after training based on performance and business need.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Subcontract Administrator embedded with the SOF GLSS Program Team, you will manage subcontracts of varying complexity throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance objectives are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering and managing subcontracts from RFP through contract creation and lifecycle execution
- Monitoring and controlling cost, schedule, and performance
- Implementing supplier corrective actions and return-to-green initiatives
- Providing status updates and reporting to senior and executive leadership
- Partnering with Compliance to support audits and reviews
- (LG4/LG5) Mentoring team members and serving as a subject matter resource for complex, SOW/spec-driven subcontracts
Basic Qualifications
- X years of experience (dependent on LG level) in Government procurement or subcontract administration
- Strong understanding of global supply chain concepts and government procurement best practices
- Experience conducting data analysis, research, and negotiations using multiple data sources
- Demonstrated experience with proposal evaluations, cost/price analysis, and negotiations
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS
- Experience with Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Experience with labor contracts and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience leading teams or project initiatives
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense contract types
- SAP systems experience
- Experience establishing new suppliers and managing supplier performance
- Working knowledge of labor contracts
- Familiarity with SOF (Special Operations Forces) contracts
- Experience managing competitive and non-competitive price agreements
- Experience leading complex negotiations
- Experience leading or supporting a Subcontract Management Team (SMT)
