Job Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining merchandising standards across assigned accounts and scheduled routes while providing excellent customer service. This role supports product rotation, display execution, inventory quality, customer relationships, and brand presentation in retail locations.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide customer service, merchandising, and sales support on assigned routes.

• Rotate products from back stock to shelves, displays, and cold vault locations.

• Sell in additional permanent or temporary displays to support customer agreements.

• Assist Account Sales Managers with display sell-in and display building during route rides.

• Perform Account Sales Manager duties as needed, including running a full route.

• Review product code dates while servicing each account.

• Remove dented, dirty, damaged, or out-of-code products from shelves, displays, and cold vaults.

• Notify the appropriate account contact of products requiring pickup or exchange, as well as out-of-stock items.

• Ensure products are placed according to shelf schematics in chain and independent stores.

• Keep cold equipment, racks, and point-of-sale materials current, clean, and professionally presented.

• Cover Account Manager routes as needed.

• Monitor competitor activities, including new product launches and price reductions, and communicate findings to management.

• Build and maintain professional customer relationships to support sales and selling space.

• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly sales meetings.

• Support and protect brand standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Prior sales experience preferred.

• Knowledge of the beverage market preferred.

• Must be available to work early mornings and weekends.

• Excellent communication skills required.

• Strong organizational and basic math skills required.

• Current driver's license with a clean driving record required.

• Reliable vehicle for work purposes with at least the minimum required insurance coverage.

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• DOT medical card required.

• Ability to work in environments with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.

• Ability to work in a moderate noise environment.
