Position Summary:

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for designing, leading, and scaling Equify Financial’s technology infrastructure in support of a growing, regulated commercial lending platform. This role serves as the architect and steward of Equify’s IT ecosystem, ensuring secure, compliant, and highly integrated systems across cloud infrastructure, data, and core lending platforms. The Director will focus heavily on integrating disparate systems into a cohesive, scalable architecture that supports analytics, operational efficiency, and future fintech innovation.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Own the overall IT strategy, architecture, and execution roadmap aligned with Equify’s growth objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and be hands-on in maintaining a secure, scalable cloud and systems architecture supporting lending operations, data analytics, and integrations.
  • Lead and be hands-on in the integration of multiple existing platforms (CRM, LOS, accounting, servicing, document management, data tools) into a cohesive, well‑designed IT ecosystem.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate operational and lending requirements into technology solutions.
  • Oversee and be hands-on in data architecture and analytics infrastructure to ensure accurate, accessible, and compliant reporting across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial, data privacy, and cybersecurity regulations.
  • Establish and enforce IT governance, security policies, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Manage third‑party vendors, fintech partners, and system integrators.
  • Lead, mentor, work hands-on in, and scale the IT team as the organization grows.
  • Support technology due diligence, audits, and regulatory examinations as required.

Required Education, Experience, & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least eight (8) years of progressive IT experience, including experience in hands-on roles in commercial lending, fintech, or financial services environments.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within regulated financial environments (banking, lending, fintech, or similar).
  • Deep expertise in cloud architecture, system design, and modern infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
  • Strong background in data architecture, analytics platforms, and reporting frameworks.
  • Proven success integrating disparate legacy and modern systems into a scalable, well‑architected environment.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
  • Moves throughout the building to access files.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
