Strategic Data Portfolio Leadership
- Develop and implement the USIS Data Acquisition strategy, ensuring alignment with USIS business priorities and the overall Data vision.
- Manage the data assets pipeline, prioritizing based on quantifiable value, competitive advantage, and net new incremental P&L impact.
- Maintain a portfolio that demonstrates a deep understanding of emerging data categories essential for Equifax's growth across diverse verticals.
- Build, communicate, and maintain a multi-year data assets roadmap (covering both existing and new assets) that strategically balances cost discipline with the pursuit of competitive advantage.
- Incorporate data risk, compliance, and regulatory environment considerations into the evaluation and prioritization process for all data assets.
- External Data Identification & Analysis: Proactively research and monitor the external data landscape, including vendors, regulatory shifts, and competitor activity, to identify potential new external data sources. Conduct thorough assessments of these sources and communicate the findings and benefits internally.
- Business Model Alignment: Define and implement the optimal business models required to translate the value of new data assets into specific, measurable downstream business outcomes.
- Monetization and Compliance: Discover and pursue new data monetization opportunities. Collaborate with vendors to ensure all data assets adhere to Equifax's internal requirements and industry compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain robust working relationships with data furnishers and industry partners to cultivate trust and ensure successful ongoing partnerships.
- Strategically negotiate contracts, prioritizing a balance between cost-effectiveness and long-term value while maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the data.
- Uphold Equifax Compliance standards by ensuring all vendors consistently meet stringent data quality and reliability requirements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the onboarding process to facilitate the continuous growth and expansion of our data partnerships.
- Create an operating model to efficiently and effectively manage a company’s data assets while meeting regulatory and legal obligations and share data quality results, issues, and opportunities with furnishers.Collaborate with data product owners to create a unified data acquisition strategy that supports the USIS Business Unit roadmap.
- Establish data management policies and procedures, enforce compliance controls, and manage data maintenance across web channels.
- Design an operating model for the efficient and effective management of the company's data assets, meeting all regulatory and legal requirements, and communicating data quality results, issues, and opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline; Master’s Degree strongly preferred
- 7 years of related data partnerships, sales engineering or consulting experience
- 5-7 years of experience building business partnerships and negotiating complex agreements
- Active Listening - Aligns with business users to understand desired outcomes and relate back to data acquisition opportunities for enhancement and new product developments.
- Business Partnership and Consulting - Understand acquisition strategies, communicating possible acquisition ventures to appropriate stakeholders. Depending on acquisition size, serve as the connection between the business and possible data acquisition teams, driving business decisions and strategy.
- Value Analysis - Provides internal customers with the needed information to understand the uses and values of the company’s data/products/offerings and the corresponding value for their organization (e.g., ROI); Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements. value-added solutions to strengthen relationships with customers, providing insights on downstream outcomes and recommending alternative solutions to customers when their requests are not in their best interests.
- Influence and Implementation - Ability to influence without authority across a materialized stakeholder landscape. Develop and improve the strategy for a given data product or capability, and manage execution plans.
- Business Market Strategy - Uses knowledge of the markets, strategies, and operating environments for a data product to bring together different teams and develop solutions for a given data product.
- Industry Knowledge - Well versed in the industry as well as organization knowledge, builds and maintains an understanding of industry trends and uses this knowledge to identify factors that differentiate EFX from its competitors and to implement best practices.
- Knowledge of Data Products - Ability to lead analyses of EFX data products and capabilities, as well as market and competitor data products and capabilities.
