What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Equifax?
The Financial Analyst will play a lead role in building relationships with key business owners and driving revenue analysis and insights. Working closely with Finance, Sales, Technology, and Operations leaders, you will consult cross-functionally to build and present financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with business unit leadership to help achieve financial targets, drive revenue growth, and make informed business decisions
- Integral participation in financial modeling and decision support for 3 year strategic growth plan, annual budget, and monthly forecasting
- Understand forecast and budget variances to ensure accuracy in financial statements and provide summarized results of performance to business partners
- Analyze economic trends to derive a greater understanding of the drivers of historical business performance and incorporate in forecasting
- Coordinate with accounting during close cycle to ensure actual results, accruals, and other adjustments are correct
- Interpret complex financial and operational data and create data visualizations to drive new insights
- Support the Talent Solutions business unit navigating Pre-Employment services products within Equifax Workforce Solutions
What experience you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 2-5 years working in a related capacity, preferably involving budgeting, financial planning and variance analysis
What could set you apart:
- Must have strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including prior experience involving budgeting, financial planning, variance analysis and financial model building. Attention to detail is critical.
- Must have solid understanding of accounting principles including accruals, capitalization, P&L statements, etc. with the ability to interpret data and draw out insights through data visualizations
- Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting with senior-level management
- Must be self-motivated with strong process improvement mentality and ability to streamline function and have a passion to learn and grow
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required, Hyperion (HFM and Planning), Tableau, Oracle, Google, and SQL are a plus
