What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Revenue Accountant position at Equifax and Careers?
We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Corporate Center of Excellence (COE). This is a critical role for an intellectually curious accountant who wants to move beyond simple debit/credit processing and drive "Revenue Integrity." You will work directly with the Director of Revenue Accounting, supporting a high-visibility portfolio that includes our Workforce Solutions business unit.
This position offers the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, or from our global corporate HQ in Midtown, Atlanta, GA. (This is not a fully-remote role). This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.
What You’ll Do:
Own the Revenue Cycle: Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities for assigned products, ensuring strict adherence to ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP standards.
Automate & Innovate: Leverage Tableau, Oracle, and emerging AI tools to reduce manual reconciliation time, spot revenue trends, and write variance commentaries faster, freeing you up for high-level analysis.
Protect the Balance Sheet: Complete high-volume balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, diagnosing errors in revenue output before they impact financial statements.
Audit Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, providing precise documentation and substantive testing support.
Cross-Functional Impact: Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to understand new contracts and their financial implications.
Drive Partner Accuracy: Manage the complex "Partner Revenue Share" calculations, partnering with Billing and Systems teams to ensure our external partners are paid accurately and on time.
What Experience You Need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
Experience: 3 years of progressive accounting or external audit experience.
Technical Core: Demonstrated experience with Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) and U.S. GAAP.
Data Fluency: Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, logic formulas) is non-negotiable.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Please note: We are not offering employment sponsorship of any kind (including STEM/OPT) for this position.
What Could Set You Apart:
The "Big 4" Background: Experience in external audit at a Big 4 firm or a large, national public accounting firm.
Public Company Experience: Background working in a large, multi-national, publicly-traded environment (SaaS, FinTech, or Financial Services preferred).
Certification: Master of Accountancy or active CPA license.
Tech Stack: Hands-on experience building or maintaining dashboards in Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
Systems: Experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion (HFM/Essbase) is highly desired.
