POSITION TITLE: Compliance Administrator
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Operations Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Regular, Non-Supervisory
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Compliance Administrator will be the subject matter expert (SME) for all compliance-related tasks related to all types of consumer disputes. must be an effective communicator, problem solver, and have excellent reading and comprehension skills. This role will be the SME for all compliance-related tasks regarding all types of consumer disputes.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a fast pace, professional office located in Chandler, AZ and provides flexible working schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This may not be a comprehensive list of duties or responsibilities required for this job and changes may be made at any time to meet the needs of the department or business.
1. Manage the various consumer dispute processes from review to resolution and meet all timelines;
2. Act as the SME for the various types of disputes, including CBRs, debt validations, over-broads, consumer legal disputes, BBB disputes, CFPB disputes, State AG requests, and all consumer requests for information;
3. Provide assistance and support on all operational functions as needed, including cash processing, lockbox processing, mailing, and chargeback reviews;
4. Process transactions, applications, documents and gather all the required information to ensure complete and accurate documents are submitted ,consistently and without exception;
5. Maintain proper and detailed records of all transactions;
6. Understand all SOPs related to the assigned functions and follow procedures with consistency;
7. Manage the various timelines related to the types of transactions and ensure the requirements for each are met without exception;
8. Proactively identify potential issues and escalate to the management team with a recommended solution, in a timely manner;
9. Provide various reports and updates, as needed;
10. Perform research to ensure proper resolution and handling of the various types of transactions;
11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, regulatory agency’s requirements, and laws; and
12. Actively support your co-workers and the management team.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred, but must have a high school diploma or GED;
· Experience reading legal documents and court cases;
· Experience working CBR disputes in E ’Oscar;
· Experience working with CFBP disputes;
· Experience working on consumer debt validations;
· Experience filing collection license renewals in NMLS is a plus, but not required; and
· Experience filing state business license renewals is a plus, but not required related. and productivity to meet SLAs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
a. Must be organized and detail oriented while meeting SLAs
b. Strong knowledge and understanding of consumer credit reporting and terminology
c. Solid understanding of FDCPA regulations
d. Solid understanding of CFPB regulations
e. Ability to follow procedures consistently
f. Skilled to perform at a high level of proficiency
g. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Adobe and Windows, as well computer systems
h. Able to work under pressure and in accordance with established deadlines
