Role Description
This full-time, on-site Equine & Facilities Manager role is based in Rogers, AR. The manager will oversee the health, nutrition, and well-being of equine partners while managing the day-to-day operations of the facility. Responsibilities include feeding, grooming, scheduling veterinary and farrier services, managing barn upkeep, and ensuring the safety of the environment for both equines and participants. The role also involves coordinating with the leadership team for program needs, maintaining equipment, and supervising volunteers and staff assisting with facility and equine care.
Qualifications
- 10 years of horse experience required (Natural Horsemanship preferred)
- Experience in equine care, including feeding, grooming, handling, and scheduling veterinary and farrier visits
- Strong facility management skills, including experience in maintaining barns, pastures, equipment, and overall cleanliness
- Ability to manage and lead volunteers and staff, ensuring collaboration and efficient task completion
- Organizational and time management skills to balance daily operations and schedule essential services
- Physical capability to perform barn-related labor and handle equines of various sizes
- Knowledge of safety protocols for equine environments and ability to enforce these standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse program participants and teams
- Previous experience in equine-assisted therapy programs or certifications in equine management would be beneficial
