Temporary Clinician (PA,APRN)

Role Description The Temporary Clinician (PA, APRN) will provide direct patient care in sexual, reproductive, and gender-affirming health services at the Equality Health Center location in Concord, NH. This part-time, on-site role includes conducting comprehensive patient assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests. The clinician will develop and implement care plans, prescribe medications and treatments within their scope of practice, and provide counseling, education, and shared decision-making support related to contraception, pregnancy options, STI prevention and treatment, and gender-affirming care. Day-to-day responsibilities also include documentation in the electronic health record, collaborating with our RN and support staff, participating in quality improvement activities, and adhering to evidence-based clinical guidelines and organizational policies. The role requires sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and identities, maintaining trauma-informed, inclusive, and patient-centered care at all times.

Qualifications

• Current licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), with prescriptive authority in New Hampshire.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in sexual and reproductive health, including contraception management, STI screening and treatment, and pregnancy-related care.
• Experience or strong interest in providing gender-affirming care, including hormone therapy management and supportive, affirming communication with transgender and gender-diverse patients.
• Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to health equity, culturally responsive and trauma-informed care, and non-judgmental, patient-centered communication.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, documentation standards, and adherence to privacy, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust with clients, collaborate with colleagues, and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Prior experience in community health, nonprofit healthcare, or serving diverse and marginalized populations is strongly preferred.
