Equality Charter School is looking for dedicated, high-achieving students to serve as tutors for our Peer Tutoring Program, providing academic support to elementary school students. This position offers an opportunity for high school scholars to give back to the community while honing their leadership, communication, and teaching skills. Tutors will work with younger students to help them strengthen their skills in key subject areas and support their academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tutor Elementary Scholars: Work with elementary school students to provide academic support in core subjects such as math, reading, and science. Sessions will be scheduled during the after-school hours.
- Facilitate Study Skills and Learning Strategies: Use age-appropriate methods to teach organizational skills, time management, and study strategies to help elementary students improve their learning habits.
- Personalized Instruction: Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that they receive the support required to grasp challenging concepts.
- Monitor Progress and Provide Feedback: Track student progress, offer constructive feedback, and communicate with teachers or staff as needed to support each child’s development.
