POSITION SUMMARY: Act as the voice of the customer (VOC). Review customer specifications and requirements to assure the customer’s expectations are satisfied. Analyze quality processes for changes needed to assure standardization and consistency and report same. Assist and train employees in quality and improvement methodologies as needed. Perform tasks and prioritize in high-pressure environments. Extreme attention to detail is required. Demonstrate good interpersonal and relationship-building skills and good customer-service orientation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Quality Manager managing personnel with respect to orienting new employees.
- Work independently and in a team environment to achieve overall goals and objectives of the organization.
- Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
- Treat all company and customer information and data with the highest degree of confidentiality.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist contract administration personnel by reviewing the quality aspects of purchase orders for possible cost impact and the ability of the company to comply with specified requirements.
- Assure quality requirement flow down of customer purchase orders for products to be manufactured.
- Identify quality system needs and convey same to Quality Manager for strategic planning and budgeting purposes.
- Oversee/manage internal audit systems (auditors, scheduling, training as needed)
- Perform statistical analysis as needed.
- Continuous attention to detail required to prevent errors.
- Meet required goals to support overall goal of department and organization.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- EDUCATION: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor’s degree with a major in a relevant technical field (STEM) preferred, but not required.
- EXPERIENCE: 3 year(s) relevant quality assurance experience or training, equivalent combinations or education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable. Experience within a manufacturing, medical device company or other similarly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/ REGISTRATIONS: Industry recognized Quality certification(s) preferred, but not required.
- OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work odd hours; such as early mornings, late nights and weekends
