Epstein is seeking a Construction Accountant to join our Accounting team in Chicago. What You’ll Do
- Oversee project accounting, including tracking costs, budgets, and overall financial performance
- Prepare, review, and process client billings and invoices in a timely manner
- Manage subcontractor payments and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
- Assist in preparing project financial reports and analyzing variances
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and alignment
- Maintain organized, detailed, and compliant accounting documentation
- Monitor job cost reports and investigate discrepancies or cost overruns
- Track and manage retainage, lien waivers, and contract compliance documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5-7years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to spot discrepancies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
• Experience with Procore and Deltek VantagePoint
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

Compensation
Individual compensation is determined by several factors, including education, experience, training, qualifications, skill sets, licensure/certifications, and location. Employees are also eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on both company and individual performance.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $90,000 annually.
