Facilities Technician

Building Systems Maintenance | Manufacturing Facility

We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Technician who enjoys keeping buildings, equipment, and essential systems operating safely and reliably.

This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment where you’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot facility systems, complete minor repairs, and respond to building maintenance needs. You’ll work with systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, refrigeration, water purification, air filtration, and wastewater treatment.

Just as important, we’re looking for someone who can manage competing priorities, document work accurately, communicate effectively, and take ownership of assignments through completion.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain facility systems, including heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, water purification, air filtration, and electrical systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on facility equipment, building systems, and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other facility-related issues
  • Maintain wastewater treatment and water-recycling systems serving restroom facilities throughout the building
  • Complete assigned work orders accurately and within established deadlines
  • Document completed work, provide daily progress updates, and maintain the status of work-in-process projects
  • Review, update, and recommend corrections to facility maintenance procedures and standard operating procedures
  • Assist engineers with the evaluation of new facility equipment and technologies
  • Follow applicable building, environmental, industrial equipment, and regulatory requirements
  • Use amp meters, digital multimeters, power tools, and other tools and equipment necessary to diagnose and complete maintenance work
  • Support Company safety programs, 6S initiatives, ISO procedures, and other established operating requirements
  • Occasionally respond to on-call maintenance needs outside of regular working hours

What Sets You Apart

  • You take pride in keeping building systems safe, functional, and reliable
  • You’re comfortable troubleshooting problems across multiple facility systems
  • You understand the importance of preventive maintenance and addressing problems before they disrupt operations
  • You can independently organize your workload while responding to changing priorities
  • You document your work clearly and keep others informed about progress and outstanding needs
  • You work safely and follow established procedures, regulatory requirements, and technical standards
  • You take ownership of assignments and follow them through to completion
  • You communicate professionally with employees, contractors, engineers, and other partners throughout the organization

Why Join Us?

You’ll play an important role in maintaining the systems and infrastructure that support our employees and manufacturing operations. Your work will help keep the facility safe, dependable, and ready to meet daily production needs while giving you opportunities to apply and expand your technical knowledge.

If you’re an experienced, hands-on facilities professional who takes pride in solving problems and keeping essential systems running, we’d like to connect.

One point in the job description should be clarified before posting: it says the wastewater system recycles wastewater into “potable water” used in restroom facilities. If the recycled water is used for toilet flushing rather than drinking, “recycled or non-potable water” would be the more accurate terminology.

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience required; associate degree in a related field preferred
  • At least five years of facility mechanical maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, refrigeration, water purification, air filtration, or wastewater treatment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using amp meters, digital multimeters, power tools, and other maintenance tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot facility equipment and infrastructure and complete minor repairs
  • Ability to read, follow, and help maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and consistently meet deadlines and operational requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • Regular and reliable attendance
