Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator

EPSON PORTLAND INC
Hillsboro, OR Full Time
POSTED ON 8/12/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/12/2026

Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety (EOH&S) Coordinator (Program Owner | Manufacturing)

We're looking for an experienced Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety (EOH&S) Coordinator who understands that safety isn't just about compliance—it's about building a culture where employees can work safely, risks are proactively managed, and continuous improvement is part of every operation.

This is a highly visible role in a manufacturing environment where you'll serve as the primary owner of EOH&S programs. You'll lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety and environmental initiatives while partnering closely with leaders across the facility to reduce risk, maintain regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence.

Just as important, we're looking for someone who is confident working independently, takes ownership of their programs, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to solve problems, influence others, and drive meaningful improvements.

What You'll Do

• Own and manage Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety programs from planning and implementation through ongoing compliance and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations
• Conduct facility inspections, risk assessments, compliance audits, and workplace evaluations to identify hazards and reduce risk
• Lead investigations involving incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events by determining root causes and implementing effective corrective actions
• Develop, deliver, and maintain engaging safety and environmental training for employees, contractors, and visitors
• Manage hazardous materials and waste activities, including vendor coordination, regulatory documentation, material sampling, and compliance reporting
• Serve as the primary resource for supervisors and employees by providing guidance on EOH&S requirements, best practices, and risk mitigation strategies
• Monitor program performance through metrics, trend analysis, and reporting while identifying opportunities for improvement
• Partner with operations, engineering, facilities, and leadership to integrate EOH&S requirements into day-to-day manufacturing activities and improvement projects
• Maintain accurate documentation and support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory activities

What Sets You Apart

• You don't wait for problems—you identify risks early and take action before they become incidents
• You take ownership of your programs and are comfortable making informed decisions with minimal direction
• You balance regulatory compliance with practical, business-minded solutions that support manufacturing operations
• You're confident working with employees on the production floor and can build trust while holding others accountable to safety expectations
• You use data and trend analysis to drive continuous improvement instead of simply reacting to issues
• You communicate effectively, collaborate across departments, and can influence positive change without relying solely on authority

Why Join Us?

You'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on employee safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. As the owner of key EOH&S programs, you'll help shape the future of our safety culture while partnering with teams throughout the organization to reduce risk, improve compliance, and support continuous improvement.

If you're a proactive EOH&S professional who enjoys being in the field, solving complex challenges, and making a meaningful difference every day, we'd like to connect.
