About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join our growing security and infrastructure team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex hybrid network infrastructures with a strong focus on cloud integration, security, and automation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS networking, Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler security platforms, and Python-based automation.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud and on-prem network infrastructure.
• Deploy and manage network security solutions including Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA/ZDX, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, proactively troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in complex environments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high network reliability and connectivity.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical network support.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on network security projects.
• Stay up to date on emerging security threats and technologies.
• Lead the migration and integration of network services into AWS environments.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for network automation and configuration management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in network engineering or network security roles.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security appliances.
• Expertise in Zscaler administration (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong Python scripting skills for automation and orchestration.
• Experience with AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, etc.).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g., PCNSE)
• Zscaler certifications (ZCCP, ZCSA, ZCSP)
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Exposure to Kubernetes networking and container security
• Familiarity with Azure or Google Cloud Platform environments
• CISSP or other advanced cybersecurity certifications

• Full-time, long-term position with remote flexibility.
