- Translates customer needs into testable/verifiable system requirements
- Utilizes DOORS for requirements management and verification traceability
- Develops system architectures, innovative algorithms, system requirements and detailed design specifications
- Conducts trade-studies utilizing existing models, or by developing new models with tools such as C , Matlab, Python, etc.
- Develops test plans in support of verification & validation for requirements sell-off
- Create and maintain system models to capture system design and architecture using modeling tools such as (Rhapsody, Cameo, etc).
- Utilize MBSE best practices to manage systems engineering life-cycle activities, document design architectures, and define system functionalities
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of all components of complex hardware/software systems to include network analysis, functional allocation, systems requirements reviews, interface standards and system architectures.
- Develops tools to analyze system requirements and assess performance in support of design and development activities.
- Contributes to the design and execution of unit, system and operational test and evaluation.
- Participate in a highly collaborative team environment, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle using Agile/SCRUM methodologies
- Communicates with stakeholders such as other program personnel, government customers, and senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or applicable STEM field.
- Up to four (0-4) years experience in engineering
- Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
- Advanced level user in Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
- Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. citizens.
- Knowledge of MBSE best practices and systems engineering life-cycle activities.
- Knowledge of requirements tools such as DOORS.
- Knowledge of modeling languages such as SysML and UML.
- System Architecture and system design documentation experience.
- Experience and interest working with lab equipment and software.
- Experience in computer programming skills (e.g., Matlab, Python, C/C ).
- Knowledge of Radar/Sensor/Systems operations and procedures
- Knowledge of U.S. Navy Combat Systems.
- Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
- Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
- Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, standing, and walking.
- Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
