What are the responsibilities and job description for the CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING (CMT) TECHNICIAN position at Epsilon Geotechnical & Material, LLC?
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
· Experience in construction materials testing, inspection, or a related field preferred.
· Knowledge of soil, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt testing procedures.
· Ability to perform field density and compaction testing using nuclear density gauges.
· Ability to perform concrete slump, air content, temperature, sampling, and cylinder preparation.
· Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, MAG, and applicable project specifications.
· Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and testing requirements.
· Ability to prepare accurate daily field reports and testing documentation.
· Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
· Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently.
· Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
· Ability to work outdoors in Arizona weather and active construction environments.
· Ability to lift testing equipment and perform physically demanding field activities.
· Flexible availability for early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekend work.
· Commitment to company safety policies and project-specific safety requirements.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
· ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I
· ATTI Field Technician Certification
· NICET Certification
· Nuclear Gauge Safety and Hazmat/DOT Training
· OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
· ICC Certifications are a plus
