Engineered Pressure Systems, Inc. is an original equipment manufacturer that designs
and builds specialty high-pressure equipment. The equipment EPSI provides to our
customers include ASME Section VIII Division 2 & 3 high-pressure vessels and
associated pressurization systems, High-pressure heating systems, cooling systems,
closure removal systems, and control systems. EPSI is solely responsible for the design
of the equipment we provide. EPSI purchases various fabricated components and
assembles these components into systems in our Haverhill facility or at our customer’s
facility.
The new Sales Engineer position will include sales and marketing of these product lines
as well as assisting with the more traditional product lines of Hot Isostatic presses, Cold
Isostatic presses and other specialty high pressure equipment designs such as deep well
oil test systems and higher pressure hyperbaric chambers. Responsibilities within the
product lines will include responding to customer requests for spare parts, in-service
inspections, repairs, upgrades, and new installations. The sales engineer will also be
responsible for social media along with website upgrading and keeping the website up to
date.
The high-pressure industry is relatively small and specialized. The equipment EPSI
supplies is intended to last for the entirety of the career of most customers and EPSI
employees. To be successful in the industry a Sales Engineer needs to develop a
comradery with customers and professionals in the industry.
EPSI has an excellent reputation in the industry. One of the prime objectives the Sales
Engineer must accept is maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Main Responsibilities
Read 2D/3D drawings and determine items customers require from assembly
drawing.
Obtain new sales of EPSI Equipment worldwide
Qualify Customers for the equipment they request EPSI to offer. Note: Hot and
cold isostatic presses are considered “Dual Use” by the US State Department. The
equipment was originally developed to support military applications prior to being
applied to industrial applications. Export of such equipment is controlled by
requiring export licenses for the transfer of equipment or knowledge.
Help increase spare parts and service calls
Develop additional relationships with customers, including understanding their
history, preferences, current and future needs
Solicit new high-pressure inquiries and provide solutions to the customers
Technical quote/proposal writing
Negotiate contracts project pricing
Negotiate payment schedules, terms, warranty definition and purchase contracts
Quotation follow up on lost orders or on awarded orders (Phone and /or Visit)
Liaison during project manufacturer/installation of equipment projects
Advocate the customers position to the company (EPSI) during negotiations
throughout project
After the sale follow up with the customer with warranties/spares and NDA In-service
inspections of High-pressure vessels.
Develop intercompany relationships with other departments
Promote Existing EPSI Business
Attend trade shows and assist with exhibiting at trade shows
Assist with trade booth exhibits posters and advertisement tools
Build competition profile information
Visit existing customers worldwide
Keep current with customer and high-pressure organizations
Feedback (good or bad) on systems that customers have purchased from EPSI or
else where
Be aware of customer business plans (expand/none/contract; what happens to
existing press)
Have knowledge of networking in the industry on what our customers and
competitors are doing
Provide advertising suggestions
Update and write new features on our web page blog and updates for EPSI’s
website

Minimum Requirements
• US citizenship is required
• Undergraduate degree in a technical field of expertise and 2 years of technical
work experience or equivalent
• Strong computer skills
• International Travel Experience
• High degree of Self-motivation
• Outgoing and likeable personality
