Responsibilities
We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train right candidate to operate a mill machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill/Mixer Operator you will be responsible for:
- Manufacturing batches of ink on mixers or mills
- Packaging finished product in various containers and applying labels
- Cleaning and maintaining machines to TPM Standards
- Learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities
- Weigh-Up Batches: Following proper process order of addition. Shifting between auto and manual steps
- Creating and maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times
- Potentially operating the following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
- Acting as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data
- Completing scheduled maintenance and utilizing troubleshooting procedures.
- _To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:_**
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Have 3 months of related work experience
- Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills
- Pay attention to detail
- Be reliable to work assigned shift
- Be flexible to work overtime as required
- Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background
- Be able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams
- Have good attendance and punctuality
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- _In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:_**
- Forklift experience, but we can train you
- Mixing, mill, and pump filter industry background
- Previous experience in the ink industry
