Bakery Associate

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Associate to join our team. this Role involves providing exceptional assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or retail, with a passion for the food industry and a commitment to food safety standards. This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare baked goods and assist in food preparation to ensure quality and freshness
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and inquiries
• Upsell bakery products to enhance sales opportunities and promote specials or new items
• Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations
• Restock shelves, display cases, and ensure proper product organization
• Assist with food handling, serving, bussing tables, and supporting overall café or retail operations as needed
• Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail is preferred; culinary or restaurant experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience working in quick service & fast-food restaurants or grocery stores is beneficial
• Ability to work well within a team in a dynamic setting while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
