Role Description
This position provides project management and technical leadership of environmental investigations and remediation projects. The individual is required to have experience within the Illinois SRP and/or LUST programs. This is a full-time position at our office in Chicago, IL. This is not a remote/wfh position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of environmental consulting experience.
- Holds professional certification as a P.E. or P.G., or if absent certification, ability to obtain within one year.
- Experience performing conceptual and detailed remedial design work including site and remediation investigation activities.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Advanced data evaluation and analytical skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience interacting with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Ability and willingness to support the technical growth of project/staff level professionals based on direct hands-on interaction.
- Experience with Illinois SRP and LUST programs.
- 40 hour HAZWOPER certification.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects including key responsibilities for scheduling and coordination of project resources to meet client and organizational needs.
- Technical data review and report preparation.
- Coordinate and provide quality control for data collection and review of project results, including the reduction of field data to evaluate and determine future client needs and project requirements.
- Interpret data, develop, and finalize a report for review that appropriately documents findings and project remediation recommendations.
Physical Demands
This position occasionally works in the field and predominantly works in an office environment. This is not a remote/wfh position. In the field, candidates will be working with project staff and leading field activities (i.e., industrial facilities, construction projects, environmental site assessments, etc.) to perform sample collection, recording of operational/meter parameters, and oversight of subcontractors (non-company drillers, heavy equipment operators, truckers, etc.). These field activities require the ability to drive to different project sites and physically move around outdoors in various terrains, and occasionally, adverse weather conditions. Office work is primarily stationary/sedentary using a computer.
Compensation/Benefits
EPS offers a competitive salary ($85,000 - $115,000 per year) based on what EPS, in good faith, believes it might pay at the time of posting for this position in Chicago, Illinois. Actual compensation may vary based on job related factors such as relevant work experience, marketing conditions, education/training, certifications, skill sets, and internal equity.
