Investments & Underwriting Intern

The Role:

An internship at EPR Properties not only offers an opportunity to build your skills and

confidence, but also to work on projects that provide insight into who we are and what we do.

Working alongside the Investment & Underwriting Team, you'll be a valued member of the

team. You'll be assigned to projects to develop your understanding of what we do and build

What you will do:

As an Investment & Underwriting Intern, you'll work as part of a team on business issues from

strategy to execution. Skills and responsibilities for the Investment & Underwriting intern include

but are not limited to:

- Assist in transaction underwriting and valuation analyses

- Create financial models

- Verbally communicate in a confident, clear, concise, and articulate manner

- Embrace various points of view and welcome opposing and conflicting ideas

- Conduct industry-, property-, and company-level research and analysis

- Prepare internal memos

- Build and maintain industry databases

- Generate incremental experiential industry ideas

- Handle, manipulate, and analyze data and information responsibly

- Travel on a site visit to a current EPR property or potential new investment

- Uphold the company’s code of ethics and business conduct

 

Interns are expected to:

- Support select projects; demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative while

- Work with and build solid relationships with team members

- Proactively seek guidance, clarification, and feedback

- Demonstrate flexibility with task completion and prioritization

- Be curious and try new things

- Learn about how EPR Properties works as a business and adds value to clients

- Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information

 

What you need to succeed in the role:

Preferred Fields of Study:

Finance, Economics, Investments, Accounting, Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration,

 Management, Real Estate

To be eligible, students must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree:

  • Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.2
  • Preferred major GPA: 3.3
  • Exceptional listening, oral, written, and interpersonal skills

  • A high level of creativity, enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills and a team player
