What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil / Transportation Engineering Designer position at EPR, P.C.?
EPR, P.C. is seeking a full time engineering designer / technician to join our growing practice. The position will work either from our Richmond or Charlottesville, Virginia office, though depending on qualifications remote work from other Virginia locations could be possible. Hybrid work is acceptable. The ideal EPR employee has an interest in planning and designing multimodal transportation improvements that enhance the livability of Cities, Counties, and Regions. A core characteristic of an EPR employee is a desire to learn, innovate, and deliver excellent work products to our diverse and growing base of clients.
Key knowledge and experience that we are seeking for this position include:
- Expertise with AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Experience with civil engineering design, preferably including transportation/roads/traffic plans
- Familiarity with VDOT CAD standards and methods
- Design of projects using state DOT processes and guidelines
- Working knowledge of Adobe suite (InDesign/Illustrator)
- Working knowledge of GIS
This is not an entry level position but instead requires civil design industry experience, with specific expertise in Microstation and AutoCAD.
