Tax Preparation Professional (Part-Time, 10–20 hours/week)

Eppley Tax Services, a trusted local practice serving our community for over 20 years, is looking for its first employee, a part-time Tax Preparer, to help support our growing client base of more than 400 individuals, businesses, and families. We take pride in building lasting relationships and providing accurate, reliable service year after year. As our practice continues to grow, this role offers plenty of room to expand through more hours, added responsibilities, or the chance to build a long-term future with us.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare accurate individual tax returns
- Review financial records, source documents, and prior year returns for accuracy
- Assist clients with basic tax questions and provide clear, professional guidance
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and current tax laws
- Work independently while collaborating with the business owner to support client needs
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience in tax preparation 1-2 years (individual returns required; business returns a plus)
- Familiarity with tax preparation software and electronic filing systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Current PTIN required
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time: 10–20 hours per week, January - April, with potential for optional extension
- Very flexible schedule with potential for additional hours as workload increases
- $20 an hour
