Head of Controlling ENA

As Head of Controlling, ENA, you are the key financial sparring partner for our Market Region Americas. You will steer and control financial performance across all commercial segments.

• You act as a partner to the regional management and leadership team, bringing a strong financial perspective into commercial, pricing, and investment decisions.
• With robust profitability analytics, you create transparent views on performance by segment, product line, channel, customer group and territory, and identify the levers with the greatest impact on regional profitability.
• For growth initiatives, new products, dealer set-ups, service offerings and footprint decisions, you develop solid business cases and profitability models, including sensitivity and scenario analyses.
• You take end-to-end ownership of regional planning and forecasting processes: coordinating bottom-up planning across sales, marketing, service and administration, aligning it with top-down targets and ensuring a consistent integration into group planning.
• Conduct monthly variance analyses (actuals vs. budget, forecast and prior year), define and follow up on corrective actions, analyze price/volume/mix and currency effects and maintain a clear KPI set (including growth, gross margin, EBITA, operating expense ratio, DSO, DIO and forecast accuracy).
• Together with Accounting / Finance, you manage the month-end closing process, determine accruals and deferrals, and are responsible for management reporting and present results and analyses for board and shareholder meetings.
• As a leader, you head the regional controlling team, structure roles and responsibilities, develop capabilities, establish a strong business partnering culture, and represent the region in the global controlling community.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a comparable field. Master's/MBA, CPA, CMA or an equivalent additional qualification preferred.
• 10 years of progressive experience in Controlling, FP&A or Finance Management
• 5 years with responsibility for a leadership team which enables you to steer a business of comparable size and complexity with confidence.
• Proven track record in an international B2B environment with combined product and service revenue streams
• Preferred experience in life science, medical technology, industrial instruments or a comparable industry, and you understand the specific dynamics of such business models.
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, cost accounting, standard costing and transfer pricing, as well as strong SAP skills (FI/CO, ideally S/4HANA) and a high level of proficiency in modern reporting and analytics tools, including advanced Excel/financial modeling.
• As a well-connected leader, you operate confidently in an international matrix organization, collaborate effectively with a European parent company, and combine a strategic mindset with an operational, hands-on mentality and strong change management capabilities.
• Your way of working combines analytical rigor with the ability to distill complex topics into clear recommendations; you consistently take ownership and follow-through, make independent judgments even when local and group interests diverge, and engage senior stakeholders with a constructive, data-driven approach.
• You communicate with business fluency in English and ideally have German language skills, work with high intercultural competence across time zones and functions, are willing to travel regularly within the Market Region Americas and periodically to Hamburg, and bring a positive mindset, high energy and innovative thinking to your role.

• Compensation: Annual Base Salary: $170k - $210k and eligibility for Bonus Structure.
