Job Title: Project EngineerCompany Name: Epoxy Coating Specialists (ECS)Pay Range: $75,000 $82,000 per year Performance BonusesIndustry: Commercial & Industrial Seamless FlooringTravel: Regional travel (34 hour radius of Kansas City, overnight as needed)Job OverviewEpoxy Coating Specialists (ECS) is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to support the successful execution of multiple commercial and industrial seamless flooring projects from pre-construction through closeout.This role plays a critical part in schedule coordination, submittal tracking, safety documentation, field reporting, financial tracking, and change management. At ECS, your growth mattersthrough hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to high-visibility commercial and industrial projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & ManagementAssist in managing multiple projects from pre-construction through closeout.Coordinate project schedules, track submittals, and ensure safety documentation compliance.Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations Manager, and Superintendents on planning, scheduling, and procurement.Monitor schedule progress and provide updates to support overall platform scheduling.Identify, document, and track change orders.Maintain accurate project documentation including material usage and inventory tracking.Support project closeout through job reports, punch lists, and final submittals.Financial & Contract SupportAssist with tracking project budgets, invoicing, and change orders.Prepare and submit invoices in coordination with the Project Manager.Maintain accurate financial documentation and reporting.Field & Site ManagementSupport field teams with jobsite documentation including safety reports and material tracking.Complete and oversee daily field reporting and safety compliance documentation.Ensure clear communication of project requirements to installation teams.Customer &Team CollaborationSupport customer communication and maintain organized project documentation.Develop and distribute progress reports for customers and internal stakeholders.Coordinate resolution of project-related issues across departments.QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).13 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or a related field.Basic understanding of project scheduling, submittals, and construction documentation.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience with ERP systems, scheduling software, or project tracking tools preferred.Valid drivers license required.Ability to travel within a 34 hour radius of Kansas City and accommodate overnight travel as needed.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Life and Disability InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) Retirement Savings with Company MatchWeekly Pay CyclePerformance BonusesTravel Per DiemCareer Growth & Advancement OpportunitiesScheduleFull-TimeMonday through FridayDay Shift810 hour shiftsWeekend work as needed based on project demandsWork LocationPrimary Office: Shawnee, KansasProject Locations: Regional projects within a 34 hour radius of Kansas CityTravel: Regional travel required with overnight stays as needed depending on project phaseEqual Employment OpportunityWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
