Duties - Write five clean-copy, AP-style news articles based on original reporting every week - Anticipate, prepare for, and cover major developments - Build meaningful relationships with sources - Collect material for feature stories and maintain a pipeline of research to ensure daily production - Generate and pitch ideas for original stories and features - Work flexible days and hours which may include nights and weekends Job Requirements - A four-year degree in journalism, communications, or a related field - Five years of experience as a professional reporter or published body of work impressive enough to forego the experience and education requirements The annual base pay range for this role is between $45,000 and $80,000. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range accordingly to the selected candidate’s experience, location, technical skills, and other factors.
