- The Staff Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements, post journal entries, work on bank reconciliations and document maintenance.
- The successful candidate must be organized and proficient with computers, especially MS Office.
- Posting of journal entries (prepaid/recurring expenses, cash journal entries, accruals).
- Review and analyze financial statements for management and external parties.
- Ensure accuracy of the Balance Sheet.
- Ensure compliance with proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures.
- Helps with preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets.
- Interfaces with other departments to achieve financial objectives as directed by the Property Accounting Manager.
- Assists in year-end audit preparation as directed by the Property Accounting Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 1-3 years of General Ledger accounting experience preferred.
- Yardi experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
