Growing commercial construction and development firm of 20 years seeking a driven, and ambitious Assistant Superintendent for our Houston division team. The Assistant Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in the successful completion of assigned projects. The Assistant Superintendent participates in overseeing job site quality, safety, project scheduling, and communications with the project team and subcontractors from pre-construction to completion. This position reports to the Project Superintendent.Job Description:• Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with Project Managers, Project Superintendents, project team, clients, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, and governmental agencies.• Assist with setting up job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.• Participate in the review all project documents for constructability and content.• Maintain and update project records including RFI’s, RFP’s, and ASI’s.• Assist with creating and enforcing a site-specific action plan for assigned projects in collaboration with the Project Manager and Superintendent.• Coordinate subcontractors.• Coordinate with building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies.• In collaboration with the Superintendent perform daily job site walks and submit reports.• Conduct and/or attend project staff meetings.• Assist with the management of job site production and performance.• Use project management and scheduling software effectively.If you are seeking a stable, professional career, and wish to be a part of a team that not only provides longevity and growth, but operates as a work family, please submit your resume to rachel@epochconstruction.net.Given an opportunity to interview in person, please prepare your references and salary requirements for discussion.
