Vice President, Business Operations & Transformation

Overview
A growing Public Relations agency is seeking a Vice President of Business Operations & Transformation to serve as the senior operational leader responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, process excellence, technology enablement, AI adoption, and business transformation initiatives.

This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to optimize operations, enhance scalability, strengthen governance, and improve overall organizational performance. The role offers the opportunity to shape the firm's operating model and play a key role in supporting future growth.

Position Summary
The Vice President, Business Operations & Transformation will lead strategic and operational initiatives across the organization, with responsibility for workflow design, operational governance, technology implementation, AI adoption, and continuous process improvement.

This role will oversee key operational resources and serve as a catalyst for operational excellence, ensuring the organization has the structure, processes, and tools necessary to scale efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership

• Lead enterprise-wide operational initiatives that improve efficiency, accountability, and business performance
• Evaluate and optimize organizational processes, workflows, and operating procedures
• Establish operational metrics and performance management frameworks
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business

Business Transformation

• Identify opportunities to modernize operations and enhance organizational effectiveness
• Lead change management initiatives and transformation programs
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives
• Support organizational growth through scalable infrastructure and processes

AI & Technology Enablement

• Develop and implement strategies for AI adoption and business process automation
• Assess and deploy technology solutions that improve productivity and collaboration
• Establish governance frameworks for AI and emerging technologies
• Partner with stakeholders to drive user adoption and change management

Governance & Process Management

• Implement operational governance structures and decision-making frameworks
• Improve cross-functional collaboration and accountability
• Standardize processes and documentation where appropriate
• Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor operational staff and resources
• Assess organizational capabilities, resource allocation, and staffing needs
• Build and develop a high-performing operations function
• Foster collaboration across departments and business units

Preferred Experience

• 5-7 years of experience having working in roles such as Director of Business Operations, Director of Strategic Operations, Head of Operations, Chief of Staff, Director of Transformation, or Business Transformation Lead
• Experience within professional services, consulting, marketing, communications, agency, advisory, or related environments
• Proven success leading operational improvement and transformation initiatives
• Experience implementing technology solutions, workflow optimization programs, and process improvements
• Strong project management and change management capabilities
• Experience developing governance frameworks and operational best practices
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization
