Role: Software Systems Quality Assurance Manager

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000

Location: San Diego, CA - Hybrid (3 days on-site)

They are looking for a leader to guide a growing team responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of their cloud‑based software products. Responsibilities:

• Lead day‑to‑day activities of a cross‑functional QA team, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Oversee planning and execution of manual and automated testing across cloud‑based applications and mobile platforms.
• Develop, review, and improve test plans, scenarios, and scripts to ensure comprehensive validation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical field, with 5 years of professional software QA experience.
• 2 years of leadership or team‑management experience within a QA function.
• Strong background in testing cloud‑based software systems, including hands‑on work with automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, API testing, and defect management tools.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with modern automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or low‑code testing solutions.
• Ability to manage distributed teams across onshore/offshore locations while ensuring alignment and workload balance.
• Strong communication skills for presenting QA metrics, risks, and release readiness to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the medical device space
