We are currently partnering with an innovative Swiss biotechnology company focused on advancing drug discovery and protein engineering. This role is based in Switzerland and offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the discovery and development of next‑generation protein‑based biotherapeutics within a collaborative and fast‑growing biotech environment.
- Performing extensive hands‑on laboratory work across protein characterization, functional assay development, and protein production to support therapeutic discovery programs.
- Profiling therapeutic candidates using a range of biochemical and biophysical techniques.
- Developing, executing, and optimizing protein assays, including ELISA and BLI, as well as additional analytical methods such as SEC, IEX, HIC, and circular dichroism (CD).
- Conducting small‑scale microbial protein expression and protein purification to support analytical and early discovery workflows.
- Analysing, interpreting, and documenting experimental data; preparing reports and presenting results to internal teams and external collaborators.
- Working closely with cross‑functional teams, maintaining high scientific standards, and adapting efficiently to shifting project priorities.
- A degree in life sciences (e.g. biochemistry, protein science, biotechnology) or equivalent laboratory technician training, with 6 years of relevant professional and industry experience.
- Proven, hands‑on expertise in microbial protein expression, protein purification, and protein characterisation.
- Solid experience supporting biotherapeutic discovery and therapeutic candidate profiling.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and accurately in a fast‑paced biotech environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
- Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken. German is an advantage.
