Overview
As a Senior Contract Negotiator, you will support the activities of the Contracts Department by negotiating appropriate terms and conditions with ePlus’ customers, suppliers and subcontractors.

The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $75,000 and $105,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure includes variable pay through commissions based on individual sales performance. This means your earning potential can substantially increase based on your sales achievements.

As a Senior Contract Negotiator, you will support the activities of the Contracts Department by negotiating appropriate terms and conditions with ePlus’ customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
YOUR IMPACT
The essential functions of this position include:
- Draft and negotiate moderate to complex agreements for the purchase and sale of IT products and delivery of professional services, staffing solutions and managed services, primarily to commercial customers but also to school districts, universities, and state and local governments
- Lead contract negotiations with a high degree of independence, obtaining input from the VP of Contracts and senior management, as appropriate
- Advise senior management on contractual provisions in light of ePlus’ established risk management parameters
- Serve as point person for internal sales teams, management, and customers and vendors for communications throughout the contract negotiation process
- Mentor or train other Contracts personnel as needed, particularly in negotiation or drafting skills
- Distribute and file executed agreements appropriately
- Carry out other administrative tasks related to the contract negotiation, approval and signature process, as needed
- This is not a “cradle-to-grave” contract management role.
- 4 year degree in related field, or equivalent experience; JD helpful but not required.
- 3-5 years of commercial sales contracts (or 1-3 years with JD) or similar negotiation experience required; experience negotiating professional services agreements preferred
- VAR background is a major plus
- State, local and educational (SLED) non-federal public sector contract experience is a plus. Some familiarity with FAR and GSA processes may be helpful if candidate also has a strong commercial IT contracts background.
- Solid negotiation skills and track record of successfully resolving contractual issues in a sales-driven environment
- Thorough understanding of ePlus’ risk management profile with ability to explain issues effectively to customers, vendors, and internal sales teams
- Ability to draft effective contract documents on short deadlines
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Clear, concise writing is essential.
- Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team capacity
