Overview
As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and operating enterprise infrastructure for clients. You will have the opportunity to work with our master architects, engineers, and consultants, to understand our clients’ needs and craft sustainable IT roadmaps to get them there.
YOUR IMPACT
A Senior Architect is responsible for providing senior-level Sales Engineering support, escalation of issues, customer and vendor presentations. A Consultant will be responsible for implementing network IT solutions including installation, upgrades and reconfigurations to our client’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), datacenters and cloud infrastructures.
The essential functions of this position include:
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $150,000 and $190,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered. - Provide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions
- Stay current with vendor offerings and technology
- Ability to assess customer environment and make recommendations
- Ability to troubleshoot multi-vendor issues
- Provide written documentation including configurations, procedures and diagrams
- Serve the customer to ePlus’ standards
- Be available to meet the customers IT needs
- Be an escalation point for peer engineers and escalate issues to other team members as needed
- Be available as a resource to pre-sales to guide and validate jobs
- Working towards achieving multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCNP, CCIE
- Bachelor’s degree in related technology and 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree in related technology and 3 years of experience
- Multiple industry-recognized certifications. i.e.:CCNA, CCNP, PSE, ACE
- Excellent customer service skills on phone and in-person
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to think and come up with solutions quickly
- Ability to travel to customer locations, primarily in the New England region
- Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement and support IT solutions using two or more of the following technologies:
- Networking (routing and switching)
- Cisco Catalyst and Nexus
- Meraki, Aruba, Extreme, Arista
- Catalyst Center (formally DNAC) and ISE would be a plus
- WiFi
- Cisco, Meraki, Aruba Mist
- Firewall/ Security
- Cisco ISR and Firepower
- Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto
- 7 years of hands-on experience in IT
