We are a 24/7 operation operating 2 shifts, 7a-7p and 7p-7a on a 2-2-3 work schedule, which requires availability to work every other weekend. All QA staff must be flexible and able to support inspection needs across multiple departments. You will be assigned to either a day or night shift.

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Patroller to join our dynamic team. As a Quality Patroller, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining product quality across all production lines & related departments through frequent, routine inspections. This role performs both visual evaluations and physical measurements to ensure products meet established specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. The Quality Patroller serves as a frontline quality presence on the production floor and supports early detection and correction of quality issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong, analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining quality throughout the entire production process. The job will require that you work closely with other members of all departments.

Responsibilities

Ensure the customer receives a quality product in accordance with the Quality standards agreed:

  • Conduct frequent quality patrols across all assigned production lines throughout the shift
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects, nonconformities, or process abnormalities
  • Take physical measurements using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify compliance with specifications
  • Document inspections results accurately and appropriately
  • Escalate quality issues or concern to responsible QA technician

To generally help out at the supervisor’s request, in order to ensure the efficient operation of the shift.

  • Examples can include: assisting with qualifications, performing additional audits, inspections, or verification activities on specific lines and/or products, or general quality or production-support tasks.

Take responsibility for keeping the work area clean and tidy to improve housekeeping.

Participate in any continuous improvement activities in order to increase efficiency.

Liaise with other team members to ensure faults are communicated and acted upon.

Performs other duties as requested by direct supervisor / management team.

Requirements

  • A good eye for quality and attention to detail will be expected.
  • Strong team-work skills: verbal & written communication. Able to work well cross- functionally with all other departments.
  • Use of measuring equipment. (preferred)
  • Knowledge of formal quality systems. (preferred)
  • Previous experience of decision-making (preferred)
  • Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office (preferred)
  • Manufacturing experience and/or previous quality experience. (preferred)
  • Open to working in a team-oriented environment where responsibilities may shift depending on daily needs & team objectives.
  • Embraces the change in working practices towards a team-based culture.
  • Prioritization: Able to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on overall product quality & production schedules.
  • Ability to manage & resolve differences of opinion professionally and constructively, ensuring the team stays focused on goals.
  • Acceptance and understanding of Quality Control methods.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, individually and within a team, to help identify root causes, make informed decisions, and resolve quality-related challenges.
  • Critical Thinking skills: Ability to evaluate multiple solutions to a problem and select the best course of action.
  • Consistently meets deadlines and fulfils commitments, contributing to the overall team success.
  • Willingness to assist and mentor fellow team members, fostering a positive, productive, and collaborative environment.
  • Participate in self-improvement activities in order to help the team.
  • Supply the customer with zero defect products in line with the production plan.
  • Strict compliance to the company’s GMP & HMP procedures.
