Position Overview
Epiphany Family Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Peer Support Supervisor (Qualified Professional - QP) to oversee the daily operations of our Peer Support Services program. This hybrid role combines leadership, administrative oversight, and direct service delivery to ensure high-quality, compliant, and person-centered care.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for recovery-oriented services, staff development, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of the Peer Support program and supervise day-to-day activities of Peer Support Specialists
- Deliver individual and group supervision to Peer Support staff
- Provide direct client services, including facilitating groups and maintaining required service contacts
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, billing, and service delivery in accordance with LME/MCO and state requirements
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, agency policies, and regulatory standards
- Review and verify staff payroll/time worked each pay period
- Approve and track community outreach activities in collaboration with leadership
- Provide crisis intervention and advocacy support for clients when needed
- Participate in community outreach and program marketing efforts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Certification as a Qualified Professional (QP) and Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) in North Carolina
- Strong knowledge of NC Peer Support Services guidelines and regulations
- Experience working with mental health, substance use, or I/DD populations
- Ability to supervise, train, and support staff effectively
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of community resources and support systems
- Current CPR/First Aid and NCI certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Ability to work with diverse populations with professionalism and empathy
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
- Supervisory experience (1 years preferred)
- Certification through the NC Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB) or eligibility
Work Environment
- Hybrid role with a combination of office, community, and remote work
- Travel may be required within the service area
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform administrative duties
