Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Atlanta, GA for a Mohs Histotechnician. The Mohs Histotechnician will assist in the processing and preparation of tissue samples, ensure accurate slide production for pathology review, and maintain laboratory equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting tissue specimens, adhering to quality control standards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaboration with the dermatology team is essential to provide accurate and timely support during patient care.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting tissue samples
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures, equipment maintenance, and quality control standards
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to meet critical deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with clinical team
- Knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory safety, and compliance protocols
- Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) is preferred
- Experience in dermatology or Mohs histology techniques is highly beneficial
