What are the responsibilities and job description for the EEG Technologist position at Epilepsy Excellence of Garden State, PC?
A new outpatient neurology practice in North Jersey, is seeking an independent contractor EEG technologist to perform routine EEGs one day per week. Studies are scheduled together on a set day, and additional days will be offered as patient volume grows.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine awake and drowsy EEGs on adult and pediatric patients
- Prepare patients and apply electrodes using the 10-20 system
- Run activation procedures (hyperventilation, photic stimulation)
- Document patient history, medications, and clinical observations
- Upload studies for physician review
- Clean and maintain equipment and supplies
Qualifications
- R. EEG T. credential (or ABRET eligibility with strong experience)
- Prior outpatient or hospital EEG experience
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages
Preferred
- Experience with Cadwell EEG equipment
- Experience with sleep-deprived EEGs
Compensation and Details
- $50-$65 per routine EEG, paid per study
- Equipment and supplies provided
- Rate reviewed as study volume grows
- One set day per week, with hours to be confirmed
