Responsibilities
What You’ll Learn & Do:
Under the guidance of experienced mobile technicians, you will be trained to:
Perform on-site trailer maintenance and minor repairs from a mobile service unit
Conduct FHWA inspections and preventive maintenance
Make minor body and structural repairs (e.g., corner caps, panel patches, door fixes)
Troubleshoot and repair lighting, air hose, brake, and airbag systems
Represent Penn Jersey with professionalism and pride while working independently in the field
Qualifications
Trainee Qualifications:
We’re looking for individuals who bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a mechanical mindset:
Recent technical school graduate OR
Skilled trade experience in automotive, trailer, diesel, electrical, or carpentry
Excellent attendance record in school or prior work
Strong work ethic, dependability, and eagerness to learn
Ability to eventually work independently and serve as the “face of the company” at customer locations

Starting hourly pay of $20–$25/hour, depending on experience
3–6 months of in-house, supervised training
