Stocker / Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Stocker / Cashier to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service, maintaining organized shelves, and ensuring smooth checkout processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be comfortable handling transactions, and have a positive attitude to create a welcoming shopping environment. Experience in retail sales, POS systems, and merchandising is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base.

The position is for Monday-Friday 8am-3pm with occasional weekend overtime

Duties

• Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure attractive displays and easy access for customers
• Maintain accurate cash handling and perform basic retail math during transactions
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and cafe
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism
• Supervise or assist in supervising other team members during shifts when required
• Assist with Food prep when time allows

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environment preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math skills
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations
• Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
