Epic Sports Biomechanics is seeking a Performance Specialist - Program Development to join our team in Newtown, PA. This role combines athlete assessment, individualized program design, client-facing coaching, and business development within one of the most technology-driven sports performance environments in the industry.
The primary role for this position is the development and execution of individualized development plans (IDPs) based on objective data collected through Epic Sports Biomechanics' protocols. As a Performance Specialist, you will work directly with athletes of all ages and competitive levels to evaluate movement, identify performance opportunities, mitigate injury risk, and develop individualized development plans (IDPs). You will leverage advanced biomechanical technologies while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to translate objective data into actionable performance outcomes. This position includes both in-person and remote athlete development, hands-on coaching, client engagement, and active participation in business growth initiatives.
- Conduct and support biomechanical and performance evaluations
- Analyze movement data and collaborate with Epic staff on findings
- Design, implement, and manage individualized athlete development programs
- Execute and oversee athlete performance training sessions, both onsite and remotely
- Utilize motion capture, force and pressure technologies, high-speed video, and ball-tracking systems to inform programming
- Support data collection, interpretation, and performance reporting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with athletes, families, coaches, and trainers
- Contribute to client recruitment, retention, and business development efforts
- Assist with facility operations, scheduling, and equipment maintenance
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and research in sports performance and biomechanics

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, or a related field
- Experience working with athletes across a variety of sports
- Demonstrated success developing and executing progressive athlete development or intervention programs
- Strong understanding of performance enhancement and injury mitigation strategies
- Ability to analyze and communicate performance data effectively
- High-energy coaching style with exceptional interpersonal skills
- CSCS, ATC, CES, CPT, or similar certification
- Experience working with youth, high school, collegiate, semi-professional, or professional athletes
- Familiarity with motion capture, kinematic analysis, IMUs, or performance technology
- Coaching and/or competitive athletic background
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Passion for evidence-based athlete development and sports science
- Self-motivated, curious, and driven to continually learn and improve

Physical Requirements
- Perform general athletic activities such as catching and throwing medicine balls (4 to 10 lbs.)
- Lifting and carrying 10 to 50 pounds
- Possesses the athleticism necessary to demonstrate elements of IDPs, including various warmup, cool down, ballistic, strength/condition, and corrective exercises
- Climbing ladders

Compensation
