What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant/Expeditor position at EPIC PIPING, LLC?
Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Purchasing Assistant/Expeditor to be an integral part of our team. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Project Material Expediting daily, while maintaining good, professional working relationships with suppliers.
- Maintain and submit current expediting reports weekly.
- Obtain and forward copies of Packing List, Bills of Lading & MTR’s to Receiver (Based on advanced receiving procedure)
- Coordinate activities with other department leads (i.e. Procurement, Material Management, etc.)
- Assist in resolution of MDR’s (Material Discrepancies)
- Work with supply chain material control resources & project management to prioritize the delivery of material to maximize the release of spools.
- Attend project meetings as needed (internal or client meetings)
- Assist procurement.
- Take pro-active approach to the tasks at hand.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; preferred
- Experience: 2 Years' Experience in field or related area
- Computer Skills: JD Edwards, Microsoft Office (Strong Excel Skills)
- Certification/Licenses: None specifically required
