Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Biomedical Equipment Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of biomedical devices. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on repair skills, and the ability to work directly with customers in clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, and support assigned biomedical devices
- Perform technical tasks at customer sites, including travel as required
- Interface professionally with customers while managing multiple technical tasks
- Read and interpret technical documentation, service manuals, and schematics
- Use test equipment and simulators to diagnose and verify device performance
- Perform basic soldering and mechanical repairs as needed
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to assigned medical devices
- Knowledge of electronic analog and digital circuits
- Understanding of biomedical equipment design and clinical applications
- Ability to use basic electronic test equipment and simulators
- Proficiency with basic hand tools
- Ability to perform basic soldering
- Strong multitasking skills while interacting with customers
- Ability to travel and work on-site at customer locations
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation, service manuals, and schematics
Qualifications
- Technical degree, military training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
- Prior biomedical, electronics, or field service experience is a plus
