Epic Personnel Partners is actively hiring an AutoCAD Engineer for a specialty sheet metal fabrication facility Newington, CT. Pay Rate: $23–$34/hour (Depending on Experience)Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time | 9:00AM-5:00PM Duties: The AutoCAD Engineer is responsible for creating precise fabrication layouts, interpreting technical drawings, and supporting production with detailed designs for various custom metalwork projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate part production and efficient workflow within the sheet metal fabrication process. Responsibilities:· Create detailed layouts and part drawings using AutoCAD for custom sheet metal fabrication.· Read and interpret technical blueprints, shop drawings, and material specifications.· Collaborate with production teams to translate conceptual designs into actionable plans.· Ensure dimensional accuracy and proper fit-up of parts based on client specifications.· Support laser, bending, welding, and finishing operations by providing clear and accurate layout instructions.· Review and revise existing drawings and layouts as needed to optimize production efficiency.· Maintain organized records of drawings and layout files to support quality and traceability. Qualifications:· Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software (entry-level to advanced accepted).· Understanding of sheet metal processes, materials, and fabrication techniques.· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.· Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and layout efficiency.· Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.· Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: laser operation, press brake bending, welding, or finishing.· General computer literacy and file management for CAD documents.
